ABOUT THE PROJECT

Daily Spoon is a supplements brand built on the idea of “your daily ritual.” After five years of steady growth and an engaged community, the company was preparing to expand internationally and strengthen its credibility. The existing feminine, lifestyle-led identity no longer matched these ambitions or the founder’s focus on evidence-based health. The challenge was to create an identity that could scale globally, communicate transparency at a glance, and stand out in a market saturated with decorative visuals and exaggerated claims.

CLIENT NEEDS

The brief demanded more than a visual update. Through years of focus groups and educational events, Daily Spoon learned that while customers consistently said they valued ingredient transparency, most admitted they rarely read detailed labels. Participants asked for straightforward guidance on when and how to use the products and packaging that made essential information impossible to miss. This insight shaped the mandate to place ingredients, nutritional values, and usage instructions prominently on the front of every pack. The brand also needed an identity capable of projecting scientific credibility and universal appeal—moving beyond a feminine, lifestyle aesthetic—while remaining adaptable across languages, regulatory requirements, and future product formats.

DESIGN VALUE

The result is a calm, modular design system that delivers clarity and consistency across every brand touchpoint. Packaging serves as the central expression, with essential information arranged in a disciplined typographic hierarchy that rejects decorative clutter. A soft, rounded serif logo within a minimal layout balances approachability and scientific rigour, while the combination of Ivar Text and Neue Montreal ensures elegance and readability across print and digital applications. A restrained, flexible colour palette allows for product differentiation without visual noise. Warm, everyday photography captures the brand in real contexts—homes, offices, and community settings—underscoring its focus on practical self-care rather than aspirational wellness. As an added improvement, the packaging now uses a single recyclable plastic, simplifying production and supporting responsible practices without altering the project’s core brief. By breaking with the industry’s reliance on bright colours, graphic motifs, and vague promises, Daily Spoon positions itself as a trustworthy, modern, and distinctive alternative in the supplements market.
