Wisl is a local sports platform that invites everyone to discover like-minded players for any physical activity and enjoy their favorite sports together. Finding teammates should be as easy as whistling—just wisl, and the right people will be there at the right time, ready for your game.
Since the brand aims to be more than just a functional tool, it came to us with a desire to visually communicate its community-oriented goal: to be a platform where new relationships are formed through the effortless user experience of organizing games. However, a few challenges arose. The brand language needed to convey Wisl as an approachable platform for a wide range of audiences while also showcasing its adaptability to any sport.
Wisl’s logotype is based on a custom wordmark, where hand-drawn strategic schemes and the trajectories of a bouncing ball inspire the overall energetic characteristic that represents the excitement of playing with a team. It features a stylized “W” brought to the brand illustration to enrich the brand’s visual language. The letter overlaps with illustrated shapes that reflect huddling of the playful mascots. Easy-going and quite naive, these characters are here to reflect multiple aspects of the brand and create various storylines.
Since Wisl is all about people, the visual language also includes photography. It celebrates the joy and camaraderie of sports, depicts human interactions and real emotions. It cordially invites people to find their perfect team to get out and play.
